If this is your first time signing in to Owl, please read the steps below about Setting Up Your Owl Account. If you have signed in to Owl before but are having problems with signing in now, please read Signing In to Owl: Troubleshooting.
Setting Up Your Owl Account: Accessing Owl for the First Time
If you have never signed in to Owl before, you first need to set up your account. Don’t worry though, the process should only take a few minutes!
Step 1: Open Owl
You should have received an invitation by either email or text, depending on what form of contact you provided to your clinic. Click the link in the invitation to open the Owl in your web browser, or type the url address that is in the invitation into your web browser.
Step 2: Go to Activate Account
From the main Owl Sign In page, click “Activate Account” (below the blue Sign In button). If you clicked the link in the invitation, skip this step.
Step 3: Enter Email or Phone Number
If you clicked the link from your email or text message, you should be brought directly to a page with your contact information already entered. Otherwise, enter the email or phone number that you provided to your clinic (and make sure to also choose “Email” or “Mobile Number”). Make sure to enter the form of contact that Owl has on record for you. A good way to check is to look where you received the invitation – then use that form of contact.
Step 4: Request Access Code
Click “Send Access Code.” Be sure to not close the tab that has Owl open – you will be coming back here!
Step 5: Find Access Code
Go to your email box or text messages to find your access code. Sometimes the access code can take up to 5 minutes to arrive. Be sure to check your spam if you requested an access code via email.
Step 6: Enter Access Code
Once you have received an access code, go back to your open browser with Owl. Enter your access code into the space provided and click Continue. Or, you can click the link that is included in the email or text. That link will verify your account and take you directly to the next step, without having to enter the access code.
Step 7: Set Up Account
Now, create a username and password that you will remember. These will be the credentials that you use in the future to sign in to Owl. Be sure to store your username and password in a secure location so you can easily access it next time you need to sign in to Owl.
Frequently Asked Questions:
I am not receiving my access code. What should I do?
If you are not receiving an access code, there are a couple of reasons why this might be happening.
- The first case is that the access code might just be delayed. We know that we mentioned it above, but sometimes messages take a couple of minutes to arrive.
- Also, if you used your email, please be sure to check your spam folder. Some phone carriers and email providers have stricter spam filters, which sometimes catch Owl messages. If you provided more than one form of contact to your clinic, you can try the other form than what you’ve tried so far.
- If you previously responded “STOP” to an Owl text message (maybe you did not realize it was from Owl), then text messages are no longer being sent. Try texting “START” to (617) 749-2857 and going through the process again.
- If you’ve waited patiently, have tried again, and tried another form of contact and still haven’t received an access code, send us an email at support@owl.health. We’re sorry for the problems, and will help you as soon as we can!
